Pink insulation batts laid between ceiling joists in a roof space

Residential ceiling insulation

Ceiling insulation is the single biggest comfort upgrade most homes can make. Heat rises, and an uninsulated ceiling lets it straight out in winter and straight in over summer. We install batts in new builds before the plaster goes up, or top-up and retrofit in existing homes where the original layer has thinned out or compacted.

We work from the manhole or roof space, measure the area, and lay batts to suit the R-value your home needs. Installs are done by a certified insulation installer with a white card and working safely at heights ticket, so we can get into tight roof cavities without cutting corners on safety.

Most ceiling jobs are finished in a day. You get a warranty certificate on completion for your records or for resale.

  • New builds and retrofits
  • Thermal performance
  • Lower energy bills

Insulation batts fitted into timber wall studs before plasterboard install

Residential wall insulation

Wall insulation handles two jobs at once: it keeps the temperature steady, and it quietens the home down. We do internal and external walls in new builds, and retrofit existing walls where the cavity is accessible.

For new builds we fit batts into the stud cavity before lining goes on, sized to the wall depth and the R-value on the plans. For retrofits we work with what the wall allows — open cavities, removed sheets, or pump-fill where appropriate. You get a quote that spells out the method before we start.

Acoustic batts are an option for bedroom walls, home offices and shared walls in townhouses. We'll talk through what's worth doing room by room.

Installer fitting underfloor insulation between joists in a subfloor crawl space

Underfloor insulation

If your floor is cold to walk on in winter, you're losing heat through the subfloor. Underfloor insulation sits between the joists under timber floors and stops that loss. It can cut heating and cooling bills by up to 20% in the right home.

We crawl the subfloor, check clearances and any moisture issues, then fit batts or rigid panels held in place with strapping or clips. The product also acts as a moisture barrier and dampens footfall noise from the room above.

Access matters — if the crawl space is tight or has plumbing in the way, we'll flag that at the quote stage so there are no surprises on the day.

  • Up to 20% heating savings
  • Acoustic insulation
  • Moisture barrier

Vacuum hose removing old loose-fill insulation from a roof cavity

Ceiling insulation removal

Old ceiling insulation is often the problem, not the solution. Batts compact over the decades, rodents get in, and loose-fill from earlier eras can be a health concern. We remove the existing layer cleanly and dispose of it properly so the ceiling is ready for a fresh install.

Removal is done with vacuum equipment and PPE. We bag and cart the old material off-site, then check the ceiling deck and any wiring before laying new batts to the R-value you need.

Doing removal and install together means one trip, one quote, and a ceiling that actually performs again. We hold a white card and working safely at heights ticket for the roof-cavity work.

  • Retrofit install after removal
  • Improved thermal performance

Black foam lagging wrapped around hot water pipes in a roof space

Pipe lagging

Pipe lagging is insulation wrapped around water pipes. On hot water lines it keeps the heat in the pipe instead of bleeding it into the wall or roof cavity, so you waste less energy waiting for the tap to run hot. On cold lines it prevents freezing in winter and stops condensation that drips and grows mould.

We lag pipes in residential and commercial settings — under floors, in roof cavities, against walls, and on plant equipment. The sleeve also quietens water hammer and pipe creak, and helps protect the pipe itself from corrosion over time.

Most jobs are quoted off a quick site look. Tell us where the pipes run and what you're trying to fix and we'll size the work.

  • Hot and cold water pipes
  • Residential and commercial
  • Prevents condensation

Rigid insulation boards fixed to the underside of a concrete soffit slab

Under-slab soffit boards

Under-slab soffit boards are rigid insulation panels fixed to the underside of a concrete slab — typically on the soffit of a suspended floor, car park ceiling or exposed slab edge. They give you thermal performance, condensation control and a fire-rated finish in one product.

We measure up, cut the boards to suit the slab layout, and mechanically fix them to the soffit. The finished face can be left exposed in plant rooms and car parks or covered where required by the design.

This is a commercial-grade application. We work to the spec on the plans and the manufacturer's fixing schedule, and provide certificates for your build file.

  • Concrete soffit insulation
  • Fire resistant
  • Condensation prevention
  • Acoustic performance
